TONDO — a home for artists and art therapists
An innovative Israeli association building a strong connection between art, therapy and community. We build a stable professional community, run cultural and educational programs, and create an environment of integration for creative professionals.
The social challenge
Hundreds of artists and art therapists arrive in Israel with rich professional experience and find themselves in professional isolation: a foreign diploma needs recognition, a network of contacts is missing, the cultural context is unfamiliar. Meanwhile, peripheral communities lack cultural and therapeutic infrastructure. TONDO works on both levels.
Problem
The professional is isolated, the diploma is not recognized, there is no professional environment.
Intervention
TONDO creates community, requalification programs, cultural projects and mentorship.
Result
Professionals find their place. Communities gain access to culture. Dialogue becomes a living practice.
Long-term impact
Strengthening the professional status and institutional weight of art therapy in Israel.
