Mission

Art as a bridge, community as an anchor

TONDO builds a strong connection between art, therapy and community. We focus on artists and art therapists — new immigrants who, alongside professional challenges, face difficulties of adaptation, recognition and economic integration. We create spaces of shared activity, identity and inspiration across the country.

What we do

Four areas of work

Professional community

Spaces to meet, share experience, mentorship and a shared professional identity for artists and therapists.

Training & qualification

Art therapy courses, requalification programs for immigrants, support through professional recognition.

Artistic projects

Cultural and social initiatives in the center and periphery: intercultural dialogue, public art, events.

Advancing the field

Partnership with academia and government, raising the status of art therapy, conference with Bar-Ilan University.

The TONDO approach

Why this way

01

Art as a cultural bridge

A universal language that lets immigrants preserve their identity, build bridges to Israeli culture and find their voice in a new context.

02

Community as a lever

A professional community as a source of resilience: mutual support, shared resources, joint opportunities and a sense of belonging.

03

Art as therapy

Not only aesthetics but a powerful tool for healing, skill development, strengthening communities and social change.

Ready for professional dialogue
